He was born May 17, 1971, in Cedar Rapids, son of Donald and Kathy Dewater Stone. He married Dawn Baysinger; they later divorced. On April 2, 2011, he married Julia Kuhn in Waterloo.Kyle graduated from East High in 1989. While in high school, Kyle worked as a co-op in a scrap metal business. He eventually took over the business, now known as A-Line Iron and Metals.He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where his children went to school.Survived by: his wife; his parents; five children, Zachary Stone, Emily Stone, Melia Stone, Natalie Stone and Jenna Stone; and two brothers, Shawn (Brandy) Stone of Waterloo and Adam Stone of La Porte City.Preceded in death by: his grandparents, Keith and Pearl Dewater.Services: 11 a.m. Friday, May 26, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Garden of Memories. Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.Memorials in lieu of flowers: may be directed to Kyle’s family for his children’s education.Kyle loved boating, working and spending time with his family. He always considered himself a shepherd of his men. He showed strength and compassion for everyone he met and took care of his family and friends.
